Cheesy Parmesan Garlic Bread

It's garlicky, but not pungent, cheesy, but not heavy.

Ingredients

Roasted Garlic

  • 2 bulbs garlic whole bulbs tops cut off
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Garlic Bread Spread

  • 1 stick butter salted, room temp
  • 3/4 cup Lifeway Farmers Cheese
  • 1 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese grated
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 2 tsp salt
  • pepper
  • 1 pinch chili flakes optional
  • 1 french bagette cut lengthwise

Instructions

Roasted Garlic

  • Preheat oven to 400°.
  • Cut the tops off the garlic bulbs, and place each one on a sheet of aluminum foil.
  • Drizzle 1 tbsp of olive oil over the top of each bulb, add a pinch of salt and a few cracks of pepper and wrap tightly in the foil. Roast in the oven for 45 min to 1 hour until garlic is fragrant and soft.
  • Garlic can be used immediately or stored in the fridge for up to 5 days.

Garlic Bread Spread

  • Preheat oven to 400°.
  • In a bowl squeeze the roasted garlic out of the bulbs and combine with butter, farmers cheese, 1/2 cup of parm, garlic and onion powder, optional flaked, salt, and pepper.
  • Spread generously on the bread and top with 1 cup of parm ( or another meltier cheese if subbing out).
  • Bake open faced on sheet pan for 10 minutes until cheese begins to brown ( or melt ). Enjoy!
